I don’t do sport. I don’t do song-writing. Consequently, I both really hated and really struggled with this task. So, instead, I decided on a ditty about my own favourite leisure pursuit - shopping. Not so much a breaking of the rules, more a subtle manipulation. Probably.

Wikipedia claims that “sports are used for the entertainment of the player and the viewer.”

I can confirm that anyone who’s witnessed me on a spree has been entertained to the max. Unless they were a boy. And I love doing it, so it counts as a sport. Right?

Anyway, this is to be sung to the tune of that karaoke classic, Three Steps to Heaven.

Now there are three rules to shopping

As your wardrobe starts to grow

For anyone who doesn't think shopping is a competitive sport, they've obviously never been invited to the annual Early Bird sale at the boutique down the street from me. At 6 AM, everything is 90% off, at 7 AM, it's 80% off, etc...It gets ugly, and I'm not just talking about the make-up-less women! Also cunning, strategy, and perhaps kickboxing skillz are required.
