Tippler's Wednesday

I will be teaching grandma to suck eggs, of course, when I remind you that Wednesday is named after Wednesday Addams.

Wednesday was the dodgy daughter in The Addams Family movie but, amazingly, grew up and turned into the passably fit Christina Ricci.

No, I don't know how she did it, either.

Other notable Wednesdays include:

Wednesday week - odd, because it 'never happened at all'.
Ash Wednesday - the one day in the year when smokers in the UK can tell the government to 'fuck off' and have a fag in the works canteen. Yay!

Tippler's Wednesday meanwhile consisted of being stalked - in a nice way - by this soon-to-be-famous pop star, Iva.

A former opera singer-turned-pop-diva, the delightful lady showcased her new band in a Brussels night spot last evening. (Tippler just snuck back through the tunnel and into the house to write this.)

Prior to the gig she'd appeared unexpectedly behind me in my neighbourhood, hailed me with a glass-shattering 'Hey, T!' - so loud that it scared the bejeesus out of your befuddled correspondent.

Some hours later, she popped up again out of thin air - this time in order to persuade me to let her queue jump as I stood in line for a Filet-o-Fish at a well-known fast food emporium.

The woman knows no shame.

I'm aware that she's very pretty and currently single, but if she wants to shag me she's going to have to do better than that...
